Child Soldiers, Children Accused of Witchcraft and Street Children, by Haydee Britton

Ms. Britton recently retired from the United Nations after 37 years of service where she worked with the Department of General Affais and Conference Services (DGACM). She spent 7 years on mission, two years in Cambodia, two years in Haiti and three years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). While in the DRC she worked with the Child Protection Section. Part of Ms. Britton's job was interviewing Child Soldiers. She worked on the demobilization of the Child Soldiers and their re-insertion into society. She also worked on the problem of Children accused of Witchcraft and Street Children. Ms. Britton now teaches at the University of Florida's English Language Institute (ELI).
