The Santa Fe Winds presents its first Sousa Spectacular which will include many of John Phillip Sousa's marches like "El Capitan," "The Thunderer," "Semper Fi" and, of course, "Stars and Stripes." The concert also features many orchestral pieces that Sousa would place between his marches to help educate America's public on literature of the Western Orchestral World. Our own featured soloist Stephen Kushmaul will perform Arthur Pryor's arrangement of "Annie Laurie" on trombone, and Ben Rocha will perform the 3rd Movement to the "Hummel Trumpet Concerto" on trumpet.

So, come one and all to this historic event as the Santa Fe Winds take you back in time to one of the greatest audience-pleasing concerts of the day. A Sousa Spectacular takes place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, in the Fine Arts Hall. Tickets are $15 for general seating, $12 balcony, $9 seniors, children under 12 and UF students, and FREE for anyone with an SF ID. You may purchase tickets online or by calling the SF Box Office at 352-395-4181.
