The Democracy Commitment @ Santa Fe Announces Educational Series

Santa Fe is part of a national initiative to engage community college students in civic learning and democratic practice, called The Democracy Commitment. The goal is that every graduate - in every program - will have had an education in democracy while at Santa Fe. Fortunately, Santa Fe is already strong in many areas of civic engagement and democratic learning, and striving to offer all students an enriched experience.

The Democracy Commitment will offer a special monthly series of educational forums on the 2012 elections and the election process, beginning this month. The first of the series will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 in the Library's Constitution Wing, 2nd floor. . Professor David Price, Co-chair of the Democracy Commitment @Santa Fe will lead a panel discussion, "State and Local Elections – What's At Stake?" This forum is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served and strong insights are welcome.
