SAINTS TAKE TWO FROM HILLSBOROUGH, 3-2 AND 9-8

Tampa, GA – The FCSAA #4 Santa Fe Saints (4-1) won two close games on the road Thursday afternoon, defeating the Hillsborough CC Hawks by one run each contest. SF pulled out the first game 3-2 and won the second one 9-8 in nine innings.

Erika Garcia (1-0) picked up the victory in game one and was helped in the winning effort by back to back homeruns from Vanessa Ortiz and Karla Claudio-Rivera.

Santa Fe fought back in game two after trailing 5-2 in the seventh inning, scoring three runs to send it to extra innings.
