Detectives Searching for Victim's Backpack and Cell Phone

Sheriff's detectives and Santa Fe College Police continue to follow leads in the Thursday evening kidnapping of an 18-year-old student. Law enforcement personnel are attempting to locate a cell phone and backpack that were dropped by the victim as she was abducted. Those items were dropped in the North Parking Lot (Lot 9, up by O Building), next to her vehicle.
Information developed the case is that two black males were seen looking through a backpack at the location and then walking away with it. The backpack is described as a standard book bag that is light colored. These two individuals are not suspect in the kidnapping attempt.
Suspect description
The suspect is a male with a darker-skinned complexion of unknown race, possibly Middle Eastern. He was described as having close-cut hair, an unshaven face, and a tattoo on the back of his right hand. He possibly stands 5'8"-5'11" and is believed to be in his late 20's to early 30's.
Officers canvassing nearby apartments
Law enforcement personnel will also be canvassing several apartment complexes near the Northwest campus to disseminate information and take any that residents may have.
