CROP Seeks Volunteers Who Will Earn a $1,132 Scholarship

January 11, 2012

The College Reach-Out Program (CROP) is looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and service-hearted students to serve as volunteers for the CROP program during the spring and summer semesters. Volunteers must commit to completing 300 hours of service and in return, they will receive a scholarship for $1,132 through the Florida Campus Compact's College Access AmeriCorps Program.

Volunteers serve as mentors to at-risk youth with the goal of helping them gain skills and the knowledge needed for their eventual college admission and success. Volunteers provide one-on-one and small group mentoring via CROP to students in grades 6-12 before, during, and after school hours.
