Coney had a team high 16 points on the night and Edwards pitched in 10 points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Edwards scored five points in the first four minutes to stake the Saints to an early 12-1 lead. SF continued to stretch the lead and back to back baskets by Raquitta Gooden and Edwards with just seconds to go gave SF a 31-16 halftime advantage.

Santa Fe jumped all over the Patriots to open the second period, building a game high 41-21 lead with 13 minutes to play. The basket seemed to get smaller from there however as the Saints managed just four points over the next eleven and a half minutes. Fortunately the defense picked up where the offense left off and held CCF in check.

Stephenie Coney and Tiara Thompson combined on six made free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

"It feels good to get a conference victory on the road and I told the girls to enjoy it tonight," said SF Coach Chanda Stebbins. "In the next couple days we will get back to work and focus on Daytona."

The Saints host Daytona State College in MFC action on Wednesday, January 11 at 6:00 PM. The men follow against DSC at 8:00 PM.
