SF WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

TALLAHASSEE SLIPS BY SANTA FE, 51-50

Ocala, FL – Stephenie Coney nearly played the hero on Saturday afternoon for Santa Fe against FCSAA #8 Tallahassee CC. With the Saints down 51-48, Coney fired up a three with three seconds left but it rimmed out, and despite the two point follow up by Katura Harrison, TCC secured a 51-50 victory.

The loss moves SF to 1-6 on the season. TCC improved to 6-2 with their fourth victory in a row.

The Saints led 27-22 at the half, but a second half run by Tallahassee was the difference in the game.

Coney led Santa Fe in scoring with 18 points and also had seven rebounds, Katura Harrison scored nine, Lonna Turner led the way with 11 rebounds, and Shanice Clark pulled down nine rebounds.

The Saints host Gulf Coast College on Monday, November 21 at 6:00 PM at the SF Gymnasium.
