Ocala, FL – A strong defensive effort on Friday afternoon led the Santa Fe Saints to their first victory of the season against Brevard 56-49 at the Central Florida Shootout.
"We played much better defensively tonight," said SF Coach Chanda Stebbins. "I really liked our post rebounding. Taybreanna [Couch] came up big for us today with a really nice game."

Alexis Fitts led the way offensively with 16 points and Taybreanna Couch played her best game of the season, scoring 12 points to go with 10 rebounds. Stephenie Coney chipped in 11 points and six assists and Lonna Turner scored nine.
