"Santa Fe Showcase" Success
October 31, 2011
Thank you so much to everyone who helped with the Santa Fe Showcase held recently on campus, Oct. 18. We hosted almost 400 eighth grade students from 11 Alachua County schools. The Showcase was a great opportunity for students to tour campus and stop at various areas around campus to hear from a Santa Fe representative.
Students were able to learn about program requirements, career opportunities and resources on campus. Students were able to learn about Construction and Technical programs, the Zoo Tech program, Health Science programs, IPS and Business Programs. They also got a chance to tour the gym and workout room, the Gator Den, Student Life, the Fine Arts Hall and spoke to representatives from Dual Enrollment, Study Abroad, the Police Department and the Library. After the tours, the students returned to the Fine Arts Hall Amphitheatre for a brief performance from the Saints Cheerleaders, received goody bags and ate pizza! We're looking forward to next year.
