Performance Based on Wrongly-Convicted Death Row Inmates' Stories Comes to Campus Nov. 8
October 27, 2011
"The Exonerated" is coming to Santa Fe at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the E Auditorium. This is a 90-minute stage play focusing on the experiences of six individuals wrongly convicted and sentenced to death row. Based on the work of The Innocence Project, the six characters are actual individuals. This particular production is by the Gainesville Community Playhouse.
Faculty, please let your students know about this performance and potentially offer alternative or extra credit assignments.
There are three performances in all in Gainesville: Nov. 7 at the Gainesville Community Playhouse's Vam York Theater; Nov. 8 at Santa Fe College; and Nov. 9 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville. There will be audience talk-back sessions after each performance. All performances are free and open to the public. Donations for The Innocence Project will be accepted at the door. The performance is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.
