FORMER SAINT TANESKEI RICHARDSON SIGNS PRO CONTRACT IN FINLAND

Gainesville, FL – Former Santa Fe Saint and Jacksonville University Dolphin Taneskei Richardson has signed a professional contract with the HyPo Koris (Hyvinkaa Ponteva) in Finland where she will continue her playing career. She played for SF in 2007-08.

Richardson played one year for the Saints, earning First Team Mid-Florida Conference honors after averaging 12 points and six rebounds per game. After leaving SF, she played three years at the University of Jacksonville where she led the Dolphins in scoring as a senior (11.1 PPG) and broke numerous records over her three year career.

"While playing at JU my favorite quote was 'hard work pays off'," Richardson said. "I worked extremely hard last season by staying over the summer and doing extra workouts, such as lifting to become stronger, running, working on my shooting and footwork. The outcome from my work ethic and diligence was breaking a record at JU which helped me receive a contract to play pro basketball overseas. I am very blessed and appreciative for all the support given to me from the coaches, friends and family."
