College Night, Sept. 27, Offers One-Stop Shopping for College
September 23, 2011
Representatives from more than 70 colleges and universities will be on campus for College Night, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the SF Gymnasium (Building-V). In addition to all the big names from Florida, many prestigious out-of-state colleges such as MIT, UA, and La Grange will be represented.
College Night is free and open to the public, including current SF students, high school students and parents, and anyone wanting a fresh start via higher education.
Colleges reps staff tables and displays and are available to answer questions, and they give out plenty of handouts and information packets. Little SF bags with a notepad and pencil will be given away as you come in the door – but try to arrive at the gym early, because last year 1,500 people showed up!
"The gym was packed wall-to-wall. It looked like a thousand ants moving along in a line!" said Stacey Ledvina, admissions specialist at Santa Fe. "It's such an efficient way to get a lot of information about a lot of institutions, all at one time, in one place, and to get your questions answered face-to-face."
College Night is an annual event, so don't miss out on this excellent opportunity of discovery that could change your future.
