SAINTS OPEN FALL BALL WITH TWO WINS OVER OSCEOLA OVERDRIVE

Gainesville, FL – Six different pitchers scattered seven hits over 12 innings on Saturday morning as the Santa Fe Saints opened their Fall Ball schedule with two wins over the Osceola Overdrive travel ball team.

Freshman Amber Richardson (Chiefland High School) paced the offense with a grand slam and five RBI. Richardson also pitched and held the Overdrive scoreless.

Sophomore Ashley Holton hit a homerun in her first at bat to open the scoring for SF who never looked back and outscored Osceola 27-2 over the two games.

The Saints travel to Jacksonville on Saturday, September 24 to battle the University of North Florida at 1:00 PM.
