Call for Writers for “In Ten”

“In Ten” is an evening of student-written and directed 10-minute plays. This is the third annual event coordinated and produced by Terry A. Klenk as a part of the Research in Undergraduate Education initiative, and is a wonderful exploration of original work by our students.

Submission guidelines

• Each playwright may submit only one script–submit your best!
• No scripts will be returned, so no SASE required.
• All entries should be addressed/submitted to Terry Klenk in FAH 127-8 or emailed to terry.klenk@sfcollege.edu.
• Entries will be acknowledged as they are received. All playwrights will be notified when the semifinalists are chosen in December.
• Each script must be no more than 10 pages, double spaced.
• Plays that have received production, previously submitted plays, theatre for youth shows, musicals, and any longer one-act or full-length plays will not be accepted.
• Each manuscript must be typed.
• Title page must include name, address (including email) and a working phone number.
• All plays must meet the following criteria: Cast size, two or not more than five; character’s age range, 17-28; contemporary time setting; minimal fragmented sets, minimal props, minimal and contemporary costumes.
• Playwrights must be registered Santa Fe College students.
• Semifinalists should be available during production.
• DEADLINE for submission: Nov. 18.
