COLESA LAZAR BLASTS A WALK OFF HOMERUN TO LEAD SF PAST DAYTONA, 1-0

Pensacola, FL – Colesa Lazar came up big on Saturday in an elimination game against Daytona State College, blasting a walk off homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie and propel the Saints into the next round. The round tripper is her first of the season.

Jasmine Warren started in the circle for Santa Fe and pitched a gem, allowing just one hit in seven innings of work. She struck out three and induced 14 ground ball outs.

The win moves the Saints on to the final four of the NJCAA Atlantic District and final eight of the FCSAA State Tournament.

Santa Fe faces off against Brevard CC, the team they defeated 2-0 in the first round of the tournament, at approximately 4:00 PM CST (5:00 PM EST). The winner of that game will play either Miami-Dade College or Indian River State.
