SAINTS SPLIT WITH CENTRAL FLORIDA, TOMOSSONE BREAKS SF CAREER HR RECORD
Ocala, FL – The College of Central Florida took game one from the Santa Fe Saints 5-2 on Saturday afternoon, but SF rebounded to crush the Patriots for a game two victory 13-2. The split moves SF (39-10, 18-4 MFC) into a first place tie with Florida State College at Jacksonville (43-14, 18-4 MFC).
Gia Tomossone did her part in game one hitting her tenth homerun of the season, giving her 22 for her career, breaking Sherquita Bostick's previous record of 21.
CCF tagged Colena Lazar for five runs in game one, including two homeruns.
The Saints bounced back in a big way in game two, putting 13 runs on the board, highlighted by Jaimee Vega's three run homerun. Jasmine Warren picked up the victory.
Santa Fe hosts Lake Sumter CC on Monday, April 18 in the final Mid-Florida Conference double header of the season at 2:30 PM.
