Seven Men's Basketball Players Named All-MFC

SF MEN'S BASKETBALL

SEVEN NAMED TO ALL MID-FLORIDA CONFERENCE TEAM

Gainesville, FL – Seven players from the 2010-11 men's basketball team were honored at the conclusion of the season as selections to the All Mid-Florida Conference team.

Sophomore forward Eddie D'Haiti, sophomore point guard Jerome Clyburn and sophomore guard Chad Renfro were named to the First Team. Freshman guard Brenton Williams, sophomore forward Branimir Mikulic and freshman guard Marko Djekovic were named to the Second Team and Mike Washington was Honorable Mention.

D'Haiti, a 6-8 power forward, averaged 11.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in 30 games played. Clyburn, a transfer from Southern Mississippi, led the team in scoring with 12 points and assist at 4.1 per game. He was also very efficient from the field, shooting a team high 53.1%. Renfro averaged 11.9 points per game and led the FCCAA in made three pointers with 86.

Brenton Williams played only 10 games (all MFC contests) for SF but made an immediate impact. He averaged 11.8 points, 1.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game. Mikulic, a 6-9 forward scored 8.1 points per game, shot 89% from the free throw line and was second on the team in made three pointers with 52. Djekovic avergard 8.1 points per contest and was second on the team in assists with 3.5 per game.

Washington, a key contributor off the bench, scored 5.5 points and pulled down 4.0 rebounds per game.
