  • Visiting scholar, Center for African Studies at Cal/Berkeley, Fellow at the Institute of Food and Development Policy, and Research Associate at the School of Development Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa
  • And an engaging and dynamic speaker
  • 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 in P-260
  • All are welcome to participate in open discussion after presentation
  • Bring your own refreshments

The YouTube Speaker Series uses the magic of YouTube to bring prominent scholars, authors, journalists, intellectuals, and important figures (unbeknownst to them) to our campus to speak on important contemporary political issues. It is like the University of Florida Accent Series, except that the speakers aren't actually here – we are showing talks they have given that have been placed on the Internet.
