WISEMAN, CLYBURN LEAD SAINTS PAST FSC-J, 76-60

Jacksonville, FL – The FCCAA #8 Santa Fe Saints (15-6, 2-1 MFC) fell behind 11-0 early on against Florida State College-Jacksonville on Wednesday night, but two straight Brenton Williams three pointers broke the ice and started a rally that led to an important Mid-Florida Conference win. The game was the first of the season for Williams.

Josh Wiseman also provided a spark for the Saints in the first half, hitting seven points in the game's first 15 minutes. Jerome Clyburn finished with a game high 18 points and Eddie D'Haiti had 15.

The Stars came out of the gates on fire, making their first five shots, but SF chipped away at the lead and led 34-31 at the break. Santa Fe turned up the defensive pressure in the second period, holding FSC-J to only 29 points. Clyburn and the offense took over from there, pulling away down the stretch for the comfortable victory.

Santa Fe returns home to face St. John's River CC on Wednesday, January 19 for a Mid-Florida Conference battle against the Vikings at 8:00 pm. The game can be watched live at www.psblive.com.
