SAINTS GET FIRST MFC WIN OF THE SEASON OVER DAYTONA, 67-48
Daytona, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (9-10, 1-1 MFC) bounced back after a tough loss to rival College of Central Florida on Wednesday night to earn their first Mid-Florida Conference victory of the season on Saturday against Daytona State, 67-48.
The Saints led 35-17 at the half and continued to out play the Falcons in the second period, outscoring them 32-31 in route to the 19 point win.
Jasmine Blakemore led the way for SF, scoring 14 points to go with four rebounds. Jasmine Richardson pitched in 10 points and eight rebounds, Leandra King had eight points and 10 rebounds, Stephanie Coney finished with nine points and six assists and Kindsay Brandt had nine points.
The Saints travel to Florida State College at Jacksonville next Wednesday, January 12 to take on the Stars in a MFC matchup. The game can be watched live on www.psblive.com.
