2010 Fall Commencement Celebrated Dec. 10

December 10, 2010

Santa Fe College's Fall 2010 Commencement marks a milestone: the graduation of the college's very first bachelor's degree recipients. Eight recipients of a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Health Services Administration will be among approximately 240 students to walk at the fall 2010 commencement.

“This marks a signature moment as our status as a four-year college assumes its living embodiment with the graduation of Santa Fe's first bachelor's degree recipients,” said President Jackson Sasser. “Opportunities abound for them in Gainesville's expanding health care industry and elsewhere. Never has the connection between career development for students and economic development for our community been more evident.”

For details about our first BAS grads, please read this press release.

The ceremony starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 in the Northwest campus gymnasium. A total of 903 students have applied for fall graduation from all of Santa Fe's programs.
