SANTA FE KNOCKS OFF MIAMI DADE, 85-77

Ocala, FL – The Santa Fe Saints won for the second day in a row at the Central Florida Shootout, knocking off Miami Dade College 85-77 to even their record at 4-4 on the season

Jazmyne Green again starred on the offensive end, scoring a career high 23 points and was two rebounds away from a double double, finishing with eight. Leandra King and Kristien Malone controlled the paint, pulling down 15 and nine rebounds, respectively. Stephanie Edwards finished with 16 points and eight rebounds and Stephenie Coney had 13 points and five assists.

“I was really proud of our player’s effort again today,” said SF coach Chanda Stebbins. “Jazmyne is shooting great right now because she is really creating a lot of action away from the ball. Leandra had another great game for us, she continues to play steady every game. I’m also proud of all of our post players and how they controlled the glass.”

The Saints conclude the Central Florida Shootout tomorrow at 2:00pm when they take on Broward College.
