SAINTS AND GATORS TANGLE ON VERTERANS DAY

Gainesville, FL – After honoring the sacrifice and service of our veterans on Thursday, come out to Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida to watch the Saints take on the Gators in a doubleheader scheduled to start at 5:00pm.

The six time defending Mid-Florida Conference champion Santa Fe Saints will face a tough challenge in UF, who are returning 11 players from last year’s College World Series team, including All-American pitcher Stephanie Brombacher.

Last fall, SF played the Gators tough, losing 3-1 in game one before succumbing to the powerful Florida bats in game two. Colena Lazar (pictured), now a sophomore, pitched five scoreless and hitless innings against the potent Gator offense as a freshman last November. Venica Brown had the lone Saint run in game one with an opposite field homerun in the first inning.
