No Phone Zone
November 3, 2010
According to the National Safety Council, 28 percent of all traffic crashes are due to distracted drivers talking and texting on their cell phones.
Each year, almost 6,000 people are killed and more than 500,000 are injured in these types of crashes. The highest portion of these deaths and injuries happen to our young drivers under the age of 20.
Student Life is encouraging all students to make their car a No Phone Zone. Take the online pledge, and get a No Phone Zone bumper sticker.
