SIXTEEN SF ATHLETES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS
Gainesville, FL – Sixteen Santa Fe College student athletes were recently honored by the Florida Community College Activities Association and the Mid-Florida Conference for their academic success during the 2009-2010 school year.
For an athlete to qualify for the 2009-10 FCCAA All-Academic Team, they must have a 3.3 GPA or higher during the academic year and for the MFC All-Academic Team a 3.0 GPA or higher.
The following student athletes were both FCCAA and MFC All-Academic honorees: Women’s Basketball – Lanita Bartley, India Johnson, Jazmyne Green, Huguette Yanga; Men’s Basketball – Levon Hodges; Fastpitch Softball -Britany Doty, Lawna Hunter; Baseball – Joe Clouse, Antonio Sowers, Corey Turner.
MFC All-Academic honorees: Women’s Basketball – Tracie Sneed, Amanda Woodside; Fastpitch Softball – Brittany Davis, Alexis Sowell, Jaimee Vega; Baseball – Ricky Claudio. -30-
