Senior Night Introduces High School Seniors to Santa Fe College, April 15
April 15, 2010
Senior Night, an annual event at Santa Fe College, gives area high school seniors — and their families — an opportunity to learn different programs and how campus services help students stay in college.
Senior Night is scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 15 in the gymnasium at the Northwest campus at 3000 NW 83rd St. (32606).
Last year, approximately 450 students from Alachua and Bradford counties attended this free event.
“Senior Night is a great chance for students and their parents to get a ‘feel' for the Santa Fe,” said event coordinator Stacey Ledvina. “After refreshments and check-in at 5:30 p.m., there will be a brief program, and then we will open campus for visitors to tour the different areas.”
Advisors from AA Academic Advisement, Health Sciences, Business Programs, Information Technology Education, and Construction and Technical programs, just to name a few, will be on hand in their areas to give brief tours and answer questions.
“Instead of having to make multiple trips to the college, Senior Night saves you time,” said Julie Garrett, media relations coordinator. “Come once and find out what you need to apply for admissiom, start the financial aid process, etc. It's all there, all on that one night.”
The Santa Fe Singers will briefly entertain guests at 6 p.m.
