2010 Santa Fe College Student Art Show Runs Through April 23

The annual Santa Fe Student Art Show returns on Friday, April 2, with an opening mixer from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Santa Fe Gallery, located in Building M, room 147 on the Northwest campus, 3000 NW 83rd St. Come check out the finest that Santa Fe students have to offer while enjoying a catered buffet by Blue Water Bay and the music of Dan Stepp and Matt Shaffer. The opening reception is open to the general public.
This year's exhibition includes 80 works by more then 30 students.
Media include traditional and digital photography, oil and pastel paintings, charcoal and ink drawings, linocut prints, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media.
Subjects range from still lifes to the fantastic. There are table lamps made from microcassettes, bound women surrounded by barbed wire and butterflies, and much, much more.
