BARTLEY AND SNEED NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE

Gainesville, FL – Sophomore guards Lanita Bartley and Tracie Sneed have recently been named FCCAA “First Team All-State” for their performances over the 2009-10 season.  This is the first time under Coach Chanda Stebbins that two players are First Team All-State in the same season.  The Jacksonville natives helped lead SF to their first back-to-back Mid-Florida Conference titles since the mid-1980's.

The duo combined to average 33.2 points per game, nearly half of the 69.8 ppg the Saints scored during the season.

Bartley led the Saints in scoring (17.8 ppg), assists (5.3 apg), steals (3.3 spg) and was second in rebounds (6.2 rpg).  During her sophomore campaign, she set the school record for free throws made in a game (18), season (186) and career (272).  She is undecided on where she will continue her playing career.

Sneed, who finished the season as the Saints second leading scorer, averaged 15.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists and led the team in three point shots made with 62.  She has signed with Georgia State University for the 2010-11 season.
