SAINTS FALL TO DAYTONA STATE, 2-1

Gainesville, FL – Ken Wise pitched eight solid innings, giving up only two hits for the Saints on Sunday afternoon, but two eighth inning errors did Santa Fe (11-11, 2-4 MFC) in, as they fell 2-1.

The Saints scored their only run in the first inning on a Mike Miranda single, and Wise stifled the Falcons for the next seven innings before they broke through for two runs.

SF committed two infield errors late in the contest, allowing the two game winning runs to score in a sloppy eighth inning.

Austin Lawrence finished 2-for-4, Miranda was 2-for-3 and TJ Spina, Brett Bozeman, Joe Clouse and Ricky Claudio had one hit each.

The Saints will travel to Florida State College-Jacksonville on Wednesday, March 17 for a MFC game at 3:00pm.
