LAZAR, WARREN PITCH SHUTOUTS AGAINST PALM BEACH, 1-0 AND 5-0
Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe (17-3) pitchers Colena Lazar and Jasmine Warren each pitched shutouts against Palm Beach on Sunday afternoon, extending the Saints winning streak to seven games. Lazar struck out 11 PBCC batters and Warren struck out seven.
Jaimee Vega scored the only run of the game for Santa Fe in game one. Vega, Taylor Pangilinan and Lawna Hunter all doubled.
In game two, the Saints produced nine hits including a homerun by Britany Doty, her second of the year. Jasmine Warren finished 2-for-3 with a run scored, Pangilinan was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Alexis Sowell was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI and Vega had an RBI and a stolen base.
Santa Fe will have nearly a week off before playing St. Petersburg College on March 6 at 1:00 and 3:00pm.
