Please join your colleagues for spirited discussions on how to implement these best practices into your online courses. Sessions will meet for one hour on Fridays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in B-012. For more information, please contact Dr. David Yonutas at 395-5379.

  • Feb. 5 – Methods for providing adequate course materials so students can master the
    course objectives
  • Feb. 12 – Techniques for insuring that students interact with the instructor, other
    students, and with the course materials
  • Feb. 19- Strategies for supplying course navigation and technologies within the course
    that help ensure student engagement and provide access to instructional
    materials
  • Feb. 26 – Examples of links to (a) instructional support services within the course,
    answering basic questions related to research, writing, technology, etc., or (b)
    linking to tutorials or other resources that provide useful information,
    including links to SF resources (e.g. library, financial aid)
  • March 5 – Importance of specifying ADA compliance and accessibility policies at the
    college (Open Campus), especially in the information page for the course
