SF Radiography Program Receives Maximum Accreditation

January 29, 2010

The SF Radiography Program was recently awarded an eight-year accreditation status by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

The JRCERT is, and has been, the longterm ‘Gold Standard of Quality' of accreditation for radiography programs throughout the nation. Radiography Programs that voluntarily seek accreditation by the JRCERT are required to meet and maintain very high and specific academic, curricular, and administrative standards that extend beyond SACS accreditation. An eight-year JRCERT accreditation status is the maximum length that can be awarded to any radiography program. This is the second straight eight-year accreditation the JRCERT has awarded the SF Radiography Program.

The SF Radiography Program, established in 1968, continues a 100 percent graduate pass rate success on the national certification exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The ARRT writes and administers the only nationally recognized certification board exam for graduates of accredited radiography programs. Very few radiography programs in the nation can boast a 100 percent graduate pass rate on the ARRT exam!
