The leader is driven with a sense of purpose

Session 1: If an archer has no target, then no one can criticize him or her for missing it. But, success will be the result of random chance, or pure luck, at best. Leaders cannot depend upon luck. Every leader mush have a purpose, a goal, or a clearly defined target.

Offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3 in S-326/327.

The leader is not a spectator, but takes initiative

Session 2: It is easy to be a Monday morning quarterback. Hindsight is always 20/20 and criticism of players is easy. But, leadership cannot be a spectator sport. Leaders must step to the plate an make decisions without the luxury of always knowing the results. This one issue separates leaders from followers, and true leaders from pretenders. Leaders take initiative.

Offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 in S-326/327.

The leader maintains a positive attitude and perspective

Session 3: There will always be times when things do not go as planned for the leaders. Leaders work with people, who can be unpredictable, and plan strategies, which can go wrong. Life happens. The attitude of leaders in these situations will govern the perspectives and attitudes of followers. It will also impact results.

Offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 in S-326/327.

The leader has developed a higher and more consistent E.Q.

Session 4: Leaders are often faced with challenges. Leaders cannot always control what happens to them, but they are always responsible for how they respond. Responding properly in a crisis, or when people act improperly or insensitively, will affect the heath of the group.

Offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 24 in S-326/327

The leader understands the global shift in the leadership paradigm

Session 5: The Queen of Hearts said, “Off with their heads,” a sentiment fantasized about by many a leader concerning some of their “problem people.” Alice in Wonderland is fictional. Yet, too many leaders, not understanding this new perspective of leadership, continue to function in a fantasy.

Offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 in S-326/327
