SAINTS RANKED #14 IN COLLEGIATE BASEBALL PRESEASON RANKINGS
Gainesville, FL – Collegiate Baseball, a widely respected authority on two year and four year college baseball, has ranked the Santa Fe Saints, last year’s NJCAA runner-up, as the #14 team in the nation in their yearly preseason poll.
The Saints enter 2010 as the defending Mid-Florida Conference and FCCAA State Champions. The team marched all the way to the JUCO World Series championship game where they were defeated by Howard College (TX). Howard is ranked #1 by Collegiate Baseball in the preseason poll.
“It’s nice to be recognized nationally, especially by Collegiate Baseball,” said SF Head Coach Johnny Wiggs. “We know a lot of it has to do with how we did last year, but I feel like we have a strong team this year and hopefully we can live up to the expectations.”
The Saints open their season on January 29 when they host Hillsborough CC at 3:00pm. Admission is free.
