SANTA FE TAKES DOWN BREVARD, 83-56

Titusville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (9-6) avenged an early season loss to Brevard CC on Friday by defeating the Titans in convincing fashion, 83-56.

"We did a lot of good things in this game," said Coach Chris Mowry. "Our guys played very hard and did a good job scoring and rebounding."

The score was close through the first 15 minutes of the first half, but the Saints pulled away over the last five, capping it with a three point buzzer beater by Chris Baez to give Santa Fe a 47-31 halftime lead. Baez finished the first period with 21 points and five three pointers.

SF turned up the defensive pressure in the second half, holding the Titans to 25 points over the final 20 minutes.

Baez led all scorers with 24 points, including six three pointers. Chad Renfro and Iran Hollis each had 12 points. SF made 13 threes as a team.

Coach Mowry and the Saints will take ten days off and return to the practice floor on December 29th in preparation for a game on January 2nd against NJCAA #22 Shelton State CC (Tuscaloosa, AL) at 2:00pm.
