NJCAA #17 SAINTS HOST INDIAN RIVER NOVEMBER 20 AT 6PM
Gainesville, FL – After a 5-0 start to the season, the Coach Chanda Stebbins and the Santa Fe College Saints have cracked the National Junior College Activities Association poll, coming in at #17 in the nation in the first regular season poll. The team also moved up to #5 in the FCCAA state poll, up two spots from last week.
The Saints will face their biggest test of the young season on Friday, November 20 when the Indian River State College Pioneers come to Gainesville for a 6pm game. IRSC comes in with a 2-1 record and a #8 ranking in the FCCAA state poll.
SFC is led in scoring by Lanita Bartley, who is averaging 20.2 points per game, good enough for 21st overall in the country. Tracie Sneed is also scoring in double figures at 17.2 ppg, which has her tied for 50th in the country in scoring.
Admission is $3 for the general public, $2 for military, children and seniors and free for all SFC students, faculty, staff and children under 12.
