Wiggs Named ABCA Regional Coach of the Year

JOHNNY WIGGS NAMED 2009 ABCA REGIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR
Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe Baseball head coach Johnny Wiggs received another award following the Saints recording setting season in 2009. SFC won the Mid-Florida Conference for the second time under Wiggs, the State Tournament for the first time since 1985 and advanced to the JUCO World Series championship game for the first time in school history.
For his coaching efforts, Wiggs was awarded the NJCAA Div. I Diamond Sports/ABCA Regional Coach of the Year award as chosen by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Wiggs was also named the Florida Community College Activities Association "State Coach of the Year" and the Mid-Florida Conference "Coach of the Year".
