SF Hosts Respiratory Care Open House

Santa Fe College is hosting a Respiratory Care Open House from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 20 and 21 at the Northwest Campus, Building W, room 49/50. It is free and open to the general public.

Santa Fe offers an 18-month training program in Respiratory therapy with the next class beginning in January. The application deadline is Nov. 1.

Anyone interested in Respiratory care as a career is welcome to attend the open house. Guests will get an opportunity to try out various procedures and equipment used by a Respiratory therapist and time to talk with current students and instructors.

Learn about the many exciting opportunities available to registered Respiratory therapists. Salaries range from $36,000 to $43,897 (source: Salary.com). Respiratory therapists are in high demand and may work in home care, hospital care, critical care, OR, ER, Life Flight, pulmonary function labs, bronchoscopy babs, asthma clinics, hyperbaric chambers, equipment sales, and pulmonary health research. Specialty areas include neonatal, pediatric, and adult. Opportunities area available locally and nationally.
