Boucher Recognized as a Top Nursing Professional

October 8, 2009

Congratulations to Cindy Boucher, one of the FNA Centennial Convention Great 100 Nurses!

This year, in celebration of the Florida Nurses' Association (FNA) 100th anniversary as an organization, the FNA recognized 100 of its outstanding members. These nurses were nominated by their peers for excellence in diverse areas of nursing practice. Cindy Boucher, RN, MSN, an Associate Professor in Nursing Programs, was a recipient of one of the awards in the area of nursing education. Boucher was chosen because of her excellence in teaching. She uses innovative teaching methods to help students develop their nursing skills and has received grants for designing and implementing innovative teaching methods, including the use of human simulator technology.

Cindy has served as a student advisor for our own local Student Nurses Association chapter. She also demonstrates leadership within the nursing profession by actively participating in the FNA and is currently a Director at Large. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society.

Cindy is an outstanding role model for our students here at SFC and we are proud of her accomplishments.
