College Night at SFC Sept. 23
September 23, 2009
Representatives from more than 60 institutions of higher learning will be on hand to meet with students from Alachua and Bradford Counties, current Santa Fe Colle students, and other members of the community during SFC's annual College Night.
"It's one-stop shopping for college," said Stacey Ledvina, College Night coordinator. "You meet representatives from more than 60 colleges. Get your questions answered that night, learn about programs and scholarships, and make great connections. You can't beat it."
Many of Florida's colleges and universities will be in attendance, including the University of Florida, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, University of North Florida, University of South Florida, University of Central Florida, University of Miami; Rollins, Stetson and Eckerd Colleges; and Florida Southern and Bethune-Cookman.
The University of Alabama, Morehouse College, the University of North Carolina and Yale University have attended in past years.
"It's a complete spectrum of colleges, from alternative college tracks all the way to a few Ivy League and everywhere in between," said Ledvina.
College Night 2009 is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the SFC Gymnasium at the Northwest campus, 3000 NW 83rd St. (32606). The event is free and open to the public.
