Light refreshments will be served.
Dr. Benson will cover the following topics:
- Why is the popularity of course redesign growing?
- What is course redesign?
- Who is involved in it and how is it done?
- What results have been achieved by course redesign?
Dr. Benson is Senior Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama, where he leads the college's Learner-Centered College Initiative and has provided his redesign expertise to a number of institutions.
Santa Fe is redesigning its entry-level math program via a Title III math grant and Dr. Benson's visit is funded via the grant. Dr. Benson will talk about course redesign from a broad perspective, including all subject areas.
