Lytle, Nolton Sign With Four Year Schools
July 14, 2009
Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe Saints sophomore basketball players Charlie Lytle (Clearwater, FL) and Jon Nolton (Warner Robbins, GA) have both signed letters of intent with four year schools to continue their playing careers.
Lytle, a 6'8" forward, has signed with Florida Gulf Coast University (Fort Myers), a Division I school in the Atlantic Sun Conference under the direction of Head Coach Dave Balza.
FGCU, in only their second year at the Division I level, finished the regular season 11-20 and were 7-13 in the A-Sun. Due to the NCAA Reclassifying Period, the Eagles were not allowed to compete in any post season play, including the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament.
Jon Nolton, a 6'7" forward, has signed with North Georgia College and State University (Dahlonega, GA), a Division II school in the Peach Belt Conference.
The NGCSU Saints are coached by Chris Faulkner and finished last year with a 15-12 overall record and were 9-11 in the PBC. They were defeated in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament by Georgia College and State University 81-76.
Both Lytle and Nolton each have two years of playing eligibility remaining.
