Three Saints Sign With Upper Division Schools

Gainesville, FL – Three members of the 2008-09 Mid-Florida Conference championship Santa Fe Saints women's basketball team have signed letters of intent to continue their education and playing careers at upper division schools.

Tiffany Jackson, a 5'7" point guard, Gainesville native and graduate of Buchholz High School, has signed with Nova Southeastern University, a Division II school in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The Sharks are coached by Marilyn Rule and compete in the Sunshine State Conference. They finished the 2008-09 season with a 14-15 overall record and were tied for third in the SSC.

Erin Grant, a 5'8" guard from Buchholz, has signed with Limestone College, a Division II school in Gaffney, SC.

The Saints are led by fourth year Head Coach Corey Fox and play in the Conference Carolinas. Last season was the team's best under Coach Fox, when they finished with a 14-14 overall record and were 12-10 in conference.

The third SFC Saint to sign is Katrina Morris, a 6'3" center out of Land O' Lakes, has signed with Bluefield College, an NAIA school in Bluefield, VA.

The Bluefield College Rams are coached by Steve Hardin, who is in his second year with the team. The Rams finished the 2008-09 season with a 13-19 record overall and a 6-12 record in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
