Support the Arts

Overview

For over 50 years, faculty members in Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Art have worked closely with our students to select the perfect fit of repertoire or exhibit content.

That will entertain and educate our audiences while also showcasing the high caliber of talent possessed by our students. The students' talents, along with their love of the arts, are nurtured and developed during their time at Santa Fe College.

If you go behind the scenes of a performance or an exhibit, you will see students putting in hours of dedicated preparation and rehearsals with faculty mentors and our highly-trained technical crew and tech theatre students crew-in training – all working in concert to develop the skills the provide inspiring programming for our campus students and our community.

As a result of these public presentations and training, many of our visual and performing arts graduates choose to pursue further training and professional careers in dance, music, theatre, art and entertainment media. If you would like to support the Arts by providing support to fund students and faculty enhancement, community programming and outreach, learn more about Fine Arts Program Sponsorships.

Your support will help to enhance and enrich the existing Fine Arts Department programs, and the Master Artist Series, all housed at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall.

Master Artist Series

The Master Artist Series is about more than just masterful performances. Each visiting artist in the series comes to Santa Fe College not just as a headlining act, but as a part of an immersive educational experience designed to move students to the head of the class. Through this series SF students receive a rare opportunity to learn directly from masters in collaborative performances and private master classes.

The Santa Fe College Master Artist Series, is a series of programs, hosted in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall, whereby well-known artists from the visual arts, dance, music and theatre not only come to entertain audiences, but they also engage in master classes with the SF Fine Arts students, to help them better understand their pursued fields of study.
