Overview
Bicycle registration is recommended by the Police Department. Registration serves several purposes:
- It's a deterrent to crime.
- It can aid in the identification of lost or stolen bicycles.
- It enables the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management to plan more accurately for improved bicycle parking and bicycle safety around the Santa Fe College campus.
How to register a bike
Bicycle registration at SF is cost-free and easy. Fill out the information on the form below and click Submit. Once we receive your information, you may pick it up at the Police Department during normal business hours Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Affix the registration sticker to the bike's frame on the front of the upright frame bar supporting the seat.
The registration lasts for four years and stickers are non-transferable. A new bicycle requires new registration. The purchase of an already registered bike also requires re-registration under the new owner's name.
