Welcome
Santa Fe College and the Santa Fe College Foundation are dedicated to broadening the cultural experience of all persons within their reach by providing a wide array of cultural programs of beneficial value to their communities. The Cultural Programs office participates in generating events related to The Arts. Sometimes in collaboration with the SF Fine Arts Division, the Cultural Programs office helps to produce programs that bring together the greater Gainesville communities for further learning, exchange and entertainment.
In our continued collaborative efforts to expand arts exposure, we are committed to creating routes for engaging dialogue on issues of local and global concern in order to forge deeper connections between all of our communities.
Our Mission
To enrich the cultural lives of our students, faculty and staff and the residents of Alachua and Bradford counties through ongoing cultural events which seek to educate, revitalize, and foster better understanding of each other. Guided by our commitment to inclusivity, we strive to build community spirit, while also enhancing economic development and improving opportunities for all.

Santa Fe College Foundation Art Collection
The Arts are a vital part of our wellbeing. In addition to promoting cultural events, the Cultural Programs office maintains the Santa Fe College Foundation Art Collection. We manage a vibrant and growing art collection, which we presently share across various campus areas - in offices, hallways and galleries. These works of art expose all talents - especially our students - to the potential and possibilities that exist when we think creatively and are willing to engage in critical thought and even cross over boundaries.
Our collection has grown to over 700 pieces from local and international artists, and we plan to share these online with the public. There will be additional opportunities to experience works of art through active participation in our exhibitions, lectures, workshops and art education programs. Check back for updates and information about our ongoing programs.
Donation of Works of Art
The Santa Fe College Foundation and the Santa Fe College family have been chosen to receive generous gifts of art and other assets, and we are grateful for the support of our many donors over the years. Donors help us achieve our mission to promote the study and appreciation of artworks of high quality. These gifts have contributed greatly to the growth and quality of our present art collection.
To assure each acquisition meets our high standard of quality, proposed gifts of art cannot always be accepted. Any work proposed for the collection must undergo a formal review process.
Anyone proposing a donation of art to the collection should make initial contact with the Cultural Programs office, then submit high quality photographs, whether digital or hard copies for the curator’s review. This should be accompanied by all pertinent information such as the artist’s name, medium, date of production, dimensions, and present location. We also ask that you submit all known information about the work’s provenance (history and ownership), including how it was acquired by the intended donor. Also, we ask that you provide invoices or receipts, exhibition or publication records, and all additional documentation that you may have.
