Introducing the SF Period Panel
The goal of the SF Period Panel was to collect menstrual products and raise funds so that the college could offer free menstrual products in student restrooms across campus and at each center. As research shows, 86% of women have started their period unexpectedly in public without the supplies that they need, this drive is an effort to meet the needs of our student population.
The Period Panel's goal to make menstrual products available in SF restrooms was more successful than expected. Thanks to the Facilities Department, SF will be installing dispensers that provide free products in those unexpected situations when a pad or tampon is needed. We are so excited that the dispensers have been delivered.
