November 21, 2018 – A collaborative effort between Santa Fe College and Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) has been shortlisted for the 2018 Reimagine Education Award.
The proposal "CAIP: An International Partnership to Foster Inclusive Education Online" was selected from over 1150 submissions to the competition. Other universities shortlisted for the award include MIT, Stanford and Princeton.
Instructional designers Jason Frank and Andy Sheppard from Santa Fe College will join their UNESP colleagues to present their entry. The winner of the $50,000 award will be announced Thursday, Nov. 29, in San Francisco, California.
CAIP (the Certificate for Accessible and Inclusive Practices) is a new online training program that will be piloted with SF faculty in the spring 2019 term. It is designed to equip faculty with the skills and mindset necessary to foster greater inclusion for all of our students. SF has had an international cooperation agreement with UNESP since 2013.
