SF Basketball: Both Men's and Women's Teams on Three-Game Win Streaks

November 19, 2018 – The Santa Fe Saints basketball teams are both riding three-game win streaks heading toward the Thanksgiving break. The Saints women's team picked up home wins over the weekend over Eastern Florida State College (66-59) and Pensacola State College (77-67). SF, now 4-3 on the season saw Stephanie Jackson put up a game-high 31 points in Sunday's win over Pensacola.

"Very proud of this win over a top ten team in the state," said head coach Chanda Stebbins. "I'm impressed with our ability to out rebound a much bigger Pensacola team."

The Saints will travel to Tallahassee Tuesday to take on the defending national champion TCC Eagles with the tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

The SF men's team picked up a victory in front of the home crown Saturday, defeating ASA College 85-76. It was the first game of a six-game homestand for the Saints. Ryan Leonard led four Saints in double figures with 19 points. Ricardo Clouden scored 15 points and picked up eight rebounds while Admir Besovic scored 12 and John Mason 10.

SF (4-2) will host Polk State College Tuesday at the SF gym with the tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
